Christmas is just two days away and we all know that so many people are out there right now in the stores searching for those “prefect gifts” for their loved ones.  Did you wait until the last minute, or was your shopping planned?

Procrastination causes so many poor outcomes: incomplete projects, being late, and stress, just to name a few.  If you’re one of those people who put off your holiday shopping, chances are, that’s not the only thing that you’ve procrastinated on lately because how you do one thing is how you do everything.

The thing about procrastination is that we all do it at some point in time for some reason or another.  The degree to which you do so is what makes the difference in the level of its impact upon your life.  The key to eliminating it lies in being present to the procrastinating, the type of procrastinating you’re doing and why you’re doing it.  It can be remedied.

If you’re one of those who put off your shopping until just days before the holiday, take a moment to step back and look at the other things that you put off on a regular basis.  There might be more things than you imagined.  After that, look at they type of procrastination you’re doing and why you’re doing it.  Once you’ve uncovered these things, it’s time to create some new habits and support systems to go with them to eliminate procrastination for good.
